When I read the title, I thought....he missed a photo opportunity! So you caught me off guard. I'm raising my daughter’s 9 month old grandson and have had to greatly curtail my.phone use. It's teaching me to engage again. I try to bring a physical book read so I'm not on my phone.
Oh man this resonates so much. I often want to yell out something or get a weird game started or something.... In fact once on an airplane I did an experiment in connecting folks beyond everyone watching their individual movies. I started a notebook around all the aisles asking people to write in it what was taking them to Seattle and when they'd last been there.
I think you and I would have a lot of fun if we could be in the same place, doing subversive things for the good of connection.
